In preparation for the Aswan Forum, the Cairo International Center for Conflict Resolution, Peacekeeping and Peacebuilding (CCCPA), acting in its capacity as the Secretariat of the Forum, will organize a series of workshops, covering the following topics:
Terrorism in the Shadow of the Pandemic
Leaving No One Behind: Mainstreaming Migration in National Development Planning in the Sahel and Sahara Region
The Impact of Climate Change on Security and Development in Africa: Towards Risk-Informed National Planning and Programming and International Support
Advancing the Implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in a New Normal: Women’s Leadership in Preventing Conflict and Sustaining Peace
The outcomes of these workshops will be used for the preparation of the “Aswan Peace and Development Report.” Published before the Forum, the Aswan Report is meant as a forward-looking, action-oriented and thought-provoking conversation starter during the Forum.
